Engine 4

1987 Hahn HCP15

1500 GPM Hale pump, 1000 gallons water

Detroit 6V92TA engine, Allison HT-740 automatic transmisson

Carries 1800 feet of 5-inch supply hose, 3-200 foot 1-3/4 inch attack lines, 1-200 foot 2-1/2 inch attack line, Thermal Imaging camera, TFT Blitzfire portable monitor.

Fully equipped for Basic Life Support including a PhysioControl Semi-Automatic External Defibrillator (SAED) for cardiac patients.

In early 2007 Engine 4 was sent to Valley Fire Apparatus in NH for rebuilding to extend its serviceable life.  At 23 years old now, most of its contemporaries have long ago rusted away.  Valley repaired all of the rust, upgraded the visual and audible warning systems to modern standards, and rewired and painted the entire truck.  Since it’s mechanically sound, these repairs should extend Engine 4’s usefulness for another 8-10 years.  These repairs were funded through savings accumulated by the Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection Association, with no impact on the municipal budget.
