SAFE Grant Awarded

Rowley Fire Department is pleased to announce; we have been awarded the SAFE (Student Awareness Fire Education) Grant. This program will allow members of the department attend the PFALSE (Public Fire and Life Safety Educator) program held by the Department of Fire Services. This grant will also allow us to purchase supplies to hand out during information sessions held with the public. The Rowley Fire Department will use the $5,858 to purchase educational and promotional materials, bumper stickers, classroom and administrative supplies. These supplies will include items such as junior fire helmets, bracelets, stickers, handouts, pot holders, pop-up fire-trucks, pencils, water-bottles, letter openers, and pens.

The public and life safety initiative is very important to our community, from the young students at the Pine Grove Elementary School all the way to members of the Council on Aging. We look forward to these future endeavors, not just to teach and educate our community but to also learn from our community to meet their needs.

Lastly, we want to take a moment to thank the Executive Office of Public Safety and the Department of Fire Services for this opportunity to help continue to grow our relationship within our community. As always, the department thanks Chief Mark Emery for his continued efforts in getting these grants done and processed so we can continue to serve this great community.
